LearningA&D Goal: 2: A-D Formalize CME Scholarship Program curriculum (guidelines) Students will participate and complete CME Scholarship requirements: 1. Orientation 2. Mid-term check 3. Counselor meetings/semester 4. Power Hour 5. Career Services 6. Academic Advising (SSC). Students will obtain knowledge on CME requirements to maintain scholarship, learn basic study skills, select a major, and meet their academic advisor while engaging in cultural/academic activities. 1. Pre/post electronic CME rubric w/scenarios Responsibility & Account. 2. Need 100% Orientation completion. 3. Starfish (Progress surveys for mid-term grade check) 4. Scholarship Program Satisfaction survey-Qualtrics (Quant/Qual) 5. AY19-20 Retention rate. Results are being collected and still need spring 2020: CME designated the WSSMSS waiver to this program for New First Time Freshman (NFT) awards to support them with their enrollment and recruitment into the program and leadership activities at WSU. There were 21 waivers awarded (fall 2019) to qualified students. Of the 21 NFT, 5 lost their waivers for failure to fulfill the scholarship requirements (76% retention). These same students were requested to appeal and some were reinstated under a private scholarship for spring 2020 semester. For the spring 2020 semester, the CME was able to retain 43 waiver recipients (74% retention) in the program (2 obtained bachelor’s degrees). Eleven (11) failed to meet the requirements in WSSMS1 (Continuing) cohort and 2 were reinstated under a private scholarship after they appealed. Thirty-two (32) students in this cohort completed 100% of the 5 CME requirements (counselor meetings, midterm grade check form submission, Power Hour workshops (pilot), volunteer, and leadership activity) thus, increasing the retention of continuing students. Eight (8) new students were awarded a spring 2020 activity waiver. AccessA&D Goal: 1:C Share CME resources with Davis Campus students1. Hold office hours once a week to increase CME visibility/ resources. 2.Utilize FB/ marketing material (flyers, posters) to bring awareness about CME services. 1. Students will feel a sense of belonging at WSU Davis 2. gain awareness 3. utilize support services and resources. 1. Starfish appointments. 2. 1-1 sessions 3. Presentations 4. Davis Campus survey Due to new retention counselor professional development duties, a designated staff member was not deployed to Davis Campus.Due to a shift in professional staff duties and responsibilities at Davis Campus, this goal was postponed.
