ASSESSMENT
A veteran who falls within the federally mandated guidelines of the VUB program.

These qualifying guidelines provide that the student:



1) is a discharged veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States



2) has low-income/ potential first-generation college graduate status



3) has a demonstrated need to achieve basic math, English, and/or computer skills to succeed in college



4) is a citizen of the United States



5) and is a permanent resident of the United States.



The VUB is a federally funded education program. Our mission is to encourage post-secondary entry and graduation among eligible veterans.

Upon enrollment in the VUB program, students will sign a release form which allows VUB staff to gather all pertinent college data on the project graduate.



Program participants' progress is monitored as they move through the post-secondary system.



Within three (3) years of completing the VUB program, 60% or more of each VUB graduating class will complete general education requirements be eligible to receive an Associate degree or institutional certificate from the college of their choice.

Within six (6) years of completing the VUB program, 45% or more of each VUB graduating class will complete all requirements and graduate from the college of their choice with a baccalaureate degree.

VUB will track and survey program participants throughout their college/university experience.



VUB staff will monitor student records to show degree attainment.



VUB will report program participant graduation rates to the federal government on a yearly basis.
