Goals/Outcomes
2000-2001

 

  • Develop and implement staff structure that reflects services and operation required by changes in the Division of Student Affairs.
With the implementation of the Century contract with Housing, Business Services lost a full-time staff position. This change did not impact regular office duties as the housing payments and housing account reconciliation functions were absorbed by Century. The financial reporting and paperwork functions for Campus Recreation were shifted to the Department of Campus Recreation. Other changes in staffing and services will be ongoing as implementation of the Union's strategic plan and possible Union staff structure changes take place.
  • Create comprehensive budget format for Union operations by 6/30/01.
This goal is approximately 80% completed. Spreadsheets have been developed which contain financial information.
  • Review student employee salaries. Recommend modifications as needed to insure quality student staff and fairness in salary structure.
The review of present student employee salaries is complete. This review has indicated that the Shepherd Union management staff needs to look at creating job descriptions/classifications for all student positions and set salary perimeters. Recommendations will be made to the Union management staff during the summer of 2001.
