MISSION STATEMENT
Tutoring Services supports the mission of Weber State University and the Student Affairs Division by providing quality, one-on-one learning assistance by certified tutors who encourage and guide students in the development of their potential as independent learners.
TUTEE

INPUT
Student requesting tutoring for a particular registered course
ENVIRONMENT
Assigned one-on-one tutoring and attends 12 sessions or more per course per semester
OUTCOME
Increased course proficiency
Satisfaction of service
ASSESSMENT
Completion of course with "C" grade or above
Completion of tutoring experience satisfaction evaluation with score of 35/40

Student hired to work as a tutor
ENVIRONMENT
Registers for ED2920 Tutor Training (nationally certified by the College Reading and Learning Association) and attends 12 of 15 class sessions
Tutors 40 or more hours per semester
OUTCOME
Increased tutor proficiency
ASSESSMENT
Earns a grade of "credit" in ED2920
Certifies nationally at CRLA Level I/II/or III
Receives score of 35/40 on tutee satisfaction evaluations
Receives score of 35/40 on coordinator evaluations
Completes self-evaluation
