ASSESSMENT

Academic Support Services and Programs provides services for all WSU students in tutoring, testing, computers, copier and reserve material. Drop-In-Tutoring allows students to see tutor(s) as needed. Allows students to ask questions and participate in discussions they may not feel comfortable doing in a classroom or large group setting.

Tutor may help tutee with problem solving skills, that tutee can apply to everyday situations.

Student successfully completes education.

Tutee evaluations.

Tracking of students from Research Support Services.

Academic Testing. Students test in the centers when instructors choose to bring tests in. Promotes flexibility.

Teaches self reliance and time management.

Allows students to test in an environment conducive to testing.

Allows more lecture time in classroom.

Testing evaluations/surveys or questionnaires.

Track students through Research Support Services.

Computer Labs, open labs allow all WSU students to use computers for GroupWise and academic use. Allows students to work on homework assignments in between classes as time permits. Offers a wide variety of software packages – GroupWise, Internet, Word Processing, School specifics. Track amount of student usage with head counts.
